This is my knitted response to BBC Radio 4’s The Archers programme solidari-tea with Helen campaign. My artwork is to encourage people to stand with Helen, and other sufferers of domestic abuse.

On September 4th 2016, Helen Titchener nee Archer went on trial for stabbing her partner, Rob Titchener. Over the past two years, listeners have tuned in as Helen has slowly had her confidence chipped away in a sustained catalogue of control and abuse.

Listeners to the Archers are being encourage to show support of Helen and other suffers by taking a pictures of themselves drinking a cup of tea in solidari-tea with Helen and sharing them on social media using #FreeHelen.

The artwork is on display at Brewstirs 19 Bexhill Road, Hastings TN38 0AH until the end of the month.
